Lineage
I have now been studying Kung Fu San Soo for more than twenty years. In 2010, I opened Reeder’s Kung Fu School at its current location. Along the way, I have been fortunate to train under outstanding teachers, including Master Ted Sias, Master Jason Schaffsma, Sifu Adam Jordy, and Tim Cartmell, each of whom has helped guide my development in the art.
Even after all these years, I continue to seek out the best instructors and training opportunities to further my understanding. In martial arts, one should always remain a student—the learning never truly ends.
That said, some of my greatest teachers have been my own students. The challenge of helping them grow, adapt, and progress has taught me far more than I ever expected, continually deepening my understanding of the art itself.
For thirteen of those years, I had the great fortune of training under Master Ted Sias, who became both a mentor and a true friend. Ted was a first-generation Kung Fu San Soo Master under Grand Master Jimmy H. Woo. During our years of training together, he helped shape my school and curriculum while passing on the principles and character of his San Soo.
When Ted passed away in 2022, he honored me in his last will and testament by entrusting me with the stewardship of his extensive collection of San Soo materials. It is a responsibility I take seriously as I continue working to preserve and share the art for future generations.
